Sunday Communion
Minimize

At the heart of our fellowship is the weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper, the Communion, not only as a remembrance of His saving work, but as a testimony of our committment to and participation in the life He is offering to all.  This life is given to all believers who would 'take up their cross daily' and follow after Christ.  In other words, Communion is not a mere reflection upon Calvary long past but a time of rejoicing in the effective working of His cross in our lives right now.  A way of life where our fellowship is based on laying our life down for a friend - in other words, putting others first.

We meet every Sunday for communion on both the northside (Wahroonga) and southwest (Leumeah) of Sydney.

Sunday Bible Study
Minimize

Following the Sunday Communion service is an all-age teaching programme with sessions for children, teenagers and adults.  We use the popular SonSeekers material for Sunday School, and the adult teaching session provides grounding in various biblical themes ranging from Christian foundations, godly culture and living, to subjects concerning prophesy and end-times.  We love the Word and are devoted to its study and proclamation!  The VisionOne website describes many of the texts we use in our studies.

From time to time excerpts of the Bible Study sessions are loaded on this website.

Christian Women's Fellowship
Minimize

Christian Women’s Fellowship is a group of women of all ages committed to Christ. Our vision is to see every woman at the heart of church and family life, sharing and finding genuine friendship together.

Our gatherings are an expression of the unique life of faith and fellowship that we share together as women. CWF is part of the overall church programme of Sydney Christian Fellowship.

Meetings are open and all women of age 18 and older are welcome to attend.  If you would like to know more about CWF, you can contact us by email.

SonSeekers (Sunday School)
Minimize

The popular Sonseekers material is used for our Sunday School programme during school terms. The programme is a four year course of 128 Bible lessons split up into eight units of sixteen lessons. The curriculum children gain a sound background in Biblical events, people and places and helps them to understand that God is able to help them and change their lives. It is written at four age levels, from kindergarten to age twelve. Each weekly Sonseeker programme is 45 minutes in length beginning with all ages together joining together to sing. Approximately every five weeks a singing morning is included where we learn and participate in a culture of worship.

Sonseekers runs weekly every Sunday from 11:00AM to 11:45AM during school term.
A more detailed curriculum as well as video introductions, free samples, and even fun games for the children can be found here.

Teens
Minimize

Without a doubt, the teenage years are some of the most exciting and challenging in a young person’s life.

Our teenager programme seeks to support parents/guardians to guide their teenagers in the journey from childhood to becoming an adult.

The wisdom of the proverb 'Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it', holds true in our generation, as it did over 2 ½ millennia ago.

So we invite teenagers (aged 12 to 17) and parents to join with us twice a month on Saturday evenings, to grow in the knowledge and love of God, and to live in relationship as one generation.

Young Adults
Minimize

Our young adults program offers a context for young men and women to be trained in areas of Christian culture and lifestyle, and equipped for service in the life of the church.   There is a strong emphasis on training in the Word of God and in song, and in building strong Christian relationships.  We believe that it is good for a person to carry the burden of serving the Lord in their youth, so we link our training with doing, and get active in the work the Lord has given us to do. As such, our young adults are highly involved in every area of the church’s program.

Our Young Adults program runs weekly on Saturday nights from 7:00PM and is open to 18 to 25 year old singles and young marrieds.

Seniors
Minimize

SCF Macarthur has a Seniors group which provides a forum for people over 55. We firmly believe that our older folk play an important role in the ongoing life of the church and there is much that can be done in the way of bringing encouragement and the wisdom of years to younger men and women. There exists a strong and warm bond between older and younger in the church life which removes much of the generation gap.

The group meets monthly for a variety of activities including prayer and studying the word, planning ways to serve in the church community, organising outings or simply enjoying the fellowship of eating meals together.
